H.E KRISTIAN SCHMIDIT Head of The European Union Delegation to Uganda Recognised With The 2017 Uganda Transformation

H.E Amb Kristian Schmidt the Head of Delegation of the European Union in Uganda was yesterday 29th May 2017 awarded by Public Opinions Uganda with the 2017 Uganda Transformation Award in appreciation of his leadership role at the European Union delegation in Uganda which has enormously contributed towards social economic transformation of Uganda.

Amb Kristian has committed the European Union to support Uganda’s effort towards attainment of Uganda Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development in Uganda

From 2013 to date, the European Union has supported numerous development programs in Uganda not limited to Road construction projects, supporting human rights defenders and human rights organizations, supporting democracy and good governance projects, promoting cultural exchange programs, promoting tourism, etc.

Amb Kristian accepted the award but he stated all achievements have been attained at EU Uganda due to the commitment of the employees who work as a team to support development programs in Uganda.

Amb Kristian was grateful to be honored by Public Opinions International an organization headed by young people of Uganda and involved in information dissemination, Public Awareness, Public Relations, Issues Research, Recognizing achievements of individuals and organizations, etc.

The award was presented to the Ambassador by six officials of Public Opinions in the Office of Ambassador Kristian in Presence of Mr. Emmanuel Gyezaho the Communications Director at the European Union Uganda.

The meeting was attended by the following Members of Public Opinions; Luzindana Adam Buyinza (CEO),Isa Kato,Loyce Natasha Kiggundu,Kizito Moses Nsubuga,Kitmus Mousa,and Ssebuko Abubaker.
